Pragati Maidan, located in the heart of Delhi, is India’s largest and most historic exhibition and convention center. It was established in 1972 to mark the 25th anniversary of India’s independence. It was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. The primary objective behind constructing this massive complex was to showcase India’s industrial, technological, and cultural progress to the world.
Over time, Pragati Maidan has hosted several historic international conferences and exhibitions. Following the redevelopment of Pragati Maidan in 2023, a state-of-the-art complex was built here, named ‘Bharat Mandapam’.
