Shree Radha Raman Temple is considered one of the seven ancient and most sacred temples of Vrindavan. The temple was established in the year 1542 by Shree Gopal Bhatta Goswami, a prominent disciple of Shree Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
It is believed that Gopal Bhatta Goswami possessed 12 sacred Shaligram Shilas, which he worshipped daily. He always cherished a desire to adorn his deity with clothes and ornaments. One day (on Vaishakha Purnima / Narasimha Jayanti), pleased with his deep devotion, the Shaligram Shila self-manifested into the captivating deity of Shree Radha Raman Ji. ‘Radha Raman‘ translates to “the one who gives delight to Shree Radha Ji”.
тАЛA unique feature of this temple is that only the deity of Shree Krishna (Radha Raman Ji) is consecrated here. There is no separate idol of Shree Radha Rani; instead, a sacred crown is placed to the left of Shree Radha Raman Ji to symbolize her presence. Furthermore, an eternal flame has been burning uninterrupted in the temple kitchen for over 480 years, which is exclusively used to prepare offerings (bhog) for the deity.

The architecture of Shree Radha Raman Temple showcases a beautiful blend of traditional Rajasthani and Mughal architectural styles.
- Materials Used :– The temple is primarily constructed using red sandstone.
- Shikhara & Carvings :– The main tower is built in the classical ‘Shikharabaddha‘ style, decorated with intricate and exquisite stone carvings.
- Entrance Gate :– The main entrance displays remarkable antique craftsmanship using wood and stone.
Interior Architecture :–
- Sanctum Sanctorum (Garbhagriha) :– The inner sanctum is elegantly decorated and deeply revered, featuring ornate pillars and detailed artwork.
- Deity Form :– The deity of Shree Radha Raman Ji stands around 12 inches tall, possessing an extremely charming form and a radiant smile. Traces of the original Shaligram Shila are clearly visible on the deity.
- Courtyard :– A spacious courtyard lies in front of the sanctum, where devotees gather to sing devotional songs and kirtans.
